Season Of The Witch: How The Occult Saved Rock And Roll
After a month of music, the program reconnects with an investigation of meaning, this time, the meaning of music with the help of Peter Bebergal, author of Season Of The Witch.
Topics: The Occult, Led Of The Rings, Tolkien, Satan, Hawkwind, The Divine, All Things Shining, Too Much To Dream, LSD, 60s, UFO Club, Arthur Brown, Magic, Bowie, Valis, Prophets, Shabazz Palaces, Goat.

I saw Hozier perform his song Take Me to Church on Easter Thursday at the Byron Bay Bluesfest and while I refrain from saying it was a religious experience, it certainly was a spiritual experience watching and listening to his gig there in the big tent.
I guess true magick is possible to convey to the audience through performance, but I'm talking in a good way here.

David Bowie and his mystic rebellion
"Six months after the death of David Bowie, author Peter Bebergal reveals how Bowie's eclectic spiritual life—from a lifelong interest in Buddhism to his fascination with Gnosticism, Magick, Christianity and the Kabbalah—informed his music."
