Number 23 and Genetic Luck?

I picked up this edition of 'New Philosopher' magazine at the 'Byron Bay Writers Festival' in August 2016.
The main reason I bought the 'New Philosopher' magazine was because as "luck" would have it I've had a black panther tattoo like the one pictured above, from the magazine, on my right shoulder for the last 34 years
The big black cat tattoo on my right shoulder
But not only that, I'm born on the 23rd of September and above the eye of the panther in the magazine article is written -
So, ironically when there is 23 people in a room there is an even chance that they will share the same birthday.
The irony for me, apart from 23 being the number of the day I was born, is that you need 23
chromosomes from each parent to make an offspring.

Basic Genetics
"This first cell has 46 chromosomes, 23 from the mother and 23 from the father.
All the instructions for how the child will grow are in the genes on these chromosomes.
Each cell of the body will contain exact copies of the 23 pairs of chromosomes that were in the first cell that was formed by the egg and sperm."
Next time I find myself in a room with 22 other people, I'll be testing this theory out for myself.
I wonder what the odds are of a 'New Philosopher' reader of this edition having a panther tattoo, too?-)
I don't think "luck" is such a big deal really;-)
I think we are all going to get dealt certain cards in life, no matter how "lucky" or "unlucky" the odds of getting those cards appear to be to us.
I guess what I'm trying to say here is that in life there is more than just luck in play and that if you were to play the "game of life" in a casino you would soon be complaining that this game appears to be rigged, because the outcomes keep defying the odds.
