Death Doulas?!

It must be an LA thing, but I thought it was strange that I had just listened to Kelly MacLean's new podcast -

at 'The Tao of Comedy' podcast site where the subject was "Death Doulas", a term I had never heard of before and then I see a news story about Ben Lee becoming a "Death Doula" -

"Because, lately, Lee has not only studied and talked up the beauty of "death midwifery" — supporting people, emotionally, as they're dying — and volunteering at a hospice.
"Sounds a great thing to do Ben but be careful not to catch any diseases while death douling;-)
